UK Fan of the Day Wants Afternoon Notes

super-diggs A few notes...  - Don't look now, but South Carolina is your first place team in the SEC East.  Bet you didn't see that coming.  Neither did Darrin Horn, who is using the same "don't believe the hype" lines for his team that Cal does so often.  I'm guessing it's probably a little easier for them.  - As Matt mentioned last week, Kentucky has seven blue chip players targeted for the 2012 class and Kansas' Perry Ellis is near the top and a guy they feel very good about.  Today, Rivals profiled the Wichita star, who sports a 4.0 GPA and is believed to be the best player to ever come out of the state.  He will visit the Jayhawks on the 29th, along with fellow UK target Kaleb Tarczewksi, where they will witness Wayne Simien's jersey being retired.  Not retiring Wayne Simien's jersey:  the Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves or Caceres Ciudad del Baloncesto.  - Speaking of the Jayhawks, here's a fun fact:  They currently sport the nation's longest home winning streak at 69 games.  The last visiting coach to win at Allen Fieldhouse?  Billy Clyde Gillispie.  - Long known for his battles with the NCAA, former LSU coach Dale Brown talked with Alan Cutler's Mustache about his frustrations with the organization.  Brown told those finely combed hairs that "The NCAA still hasn't caught on. They legislate against human dignity and two they practice monumental hypocrisy."  He later likened the reasoning by the NCAA lately to hiring Steve Kragthorpe to call your plays.  - Wait a second.  That's exactly what Brown's former school did.  Yep, the team that Clay Travis thinks will win the national championship next year brought in Louisville's former head coach to be their offensive coordinator.  Kragthorpe, who worked as Texas A&M's receivers coach before personal issues forced him to leave last season, will no spend his days trying to figure out why the Tigers can't pass the ball and telling Les Miles how his grass tastes.  It was a move that didn't exactly impress former Card running back Blayne Donnell... blayne-donnell-twitter  - Finally, in case you missed it.  Here's the podcast of today's Kentucky Sports Radio radio show.  Matt and EZ talked cussing, proposals and then brought in Tony Vanetti and Terry Meiners for pure radio gold in the second hour.  Check it out.
