thanks-jorts JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  JORTS DAY!  A few notes...  - I'm sure you're full of behind-the-scenes goodness from Matt's second edition of his "All Access" piece, but Tom Leach had another interesting tidbit this morning on his radio show.  Leach said Calipari is preaching that "The sound of silence is the sound of defeat" to his players in an effort to encourage them to talk more defensively on the court and inspire each other.  It's not a new idea, but it's a clever little saying.  And we are big on that around here.  - With Kentucky handling their business against Vanderbilt last night, the eyes of the Bluegrass can now turn to Baton Roughe for the Georgia-LSU game tonight.  If the Dawgs were to stumble on the road against Trent Johnson's team, they would control their own destiny for an SEC Tournament bye.  More importantly, you could refer to Sunday's showdown with the Vols as a "bye-winning" game.  The more Charlie Sheen, the better.  - Speaking of crazy, the Detroit News took a look at the career of Alex Legion, which they appropriately titled "Lost in Transition".  Legion, as I'm sure you remember, was recently dismissed from FIU for breaking team rules, ending one of the most disappointing careers of recent memory.  He burned bridges at Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois and Florida International, but still keeps his sense of humor.  He says he's now singing and there is a movie about his life in the works.  Hahaha....oh, that's not a joke?  Well, ok then.  - In their quest to achieve total internet domination, UK has launched a site touting Terrence Jones and Brandon Knight as post-season awards candidates.  It's fancy and has a lot of technology.  But, alas, no BTI.  KSR wins.  - In other awards news, Anthony Davis and Michael Gilchrist are finalists for the Morgan Wootten National Player of the Year award.  The other finalists are Austin Rivers and James MacAdoo.  The award will be handed out March 15. If you missed Kentucky Sports Radio this morning, you missed a lot of talk about Jorts, perhaps the greatest Gillispie story of all time and the debut of Shannon the Dude (Facebook page highly inappropriate).  You can listen to today's podcast below.
