Even though they're halfway across the world, these UK students studying abroad in Singapore still found time to rep the Cats. Nicely done. -- We're a few hours from Team USA's game against Tunisia, which everyone expects to be a blowout. You know what that means: ANTHONY DAVIS TIME! The Americans tip off at 5:15 PM ET on NBC Sports Network. -- In media news, we found out that BBN hater extraordinaire Pete Thamel has made the move from the New York Times to Sports Illustrated to become the magazine's new college basketball writer. Aside from not having to use name prefixes anymore, Thamel will have more time to do in-depth pieces, which means he'll probably set up camp wherever Cal's next star recruit lives. Richmond, Texas (home of the Harrison Twins), you have been warned. -- Congrats to the six newest members of the UK Athletics Hall of Fame:: Derek Abney (football), Leroy Edwards (basketball), J.B. Holmes (golf), Jeff Keener (baseball), Clayton Moss (diving) and Nancy Scranton (golf). -- Will 30 days until the first college football game, I'd like to give another SEC warm welcome to the Texas A&M Bulldogs Aggies: -- "Drizzy Ring-gate" reached epic pop-culture proportions in the past few hours, with mentions on Entertainment Weekly's "PopWatch" blog and one of Perez Hilton's blogs. Just in case, I went ahead and filed my "Request for a Championship Ring" application and sent it to DeWayne Peevy. #crossingfingers -- Today, Matt and Ryan kicked off the KSR State Tour in grand fashion from the Glasgow Golf & Country Club. It was one of the most entertaining shows of the summer, thanks to a great lineup of calls and a sweaty, unfiltered Ryan Lemond. Enjoy.
