UK Fans of the Day want to know the capital of Thailand

free-enes-bangkok1 Spoiler alert:  It's what Peyton Siva and Mikey 2 Dope were simulating in the picture a few posts down.  And it's also where these two Cats fans spread the "Free Enes" message. Well, we're halfway through our first day after Jones and it hasn't been a complete catastrophe.  That's good, right?  Well, I'll take it at least.  Here are a couple of midday notes to help you continue to forget about that guy with the goofy hair and the neverending supply of button-ups and sportscoats:  - Still a lot of eager anticipation surrounding the name DeAndre Daniels.  We outlined in the night post a few of the knowns about where he stands now and what his plans are.  Not much else is being reported this morning, but JayHawkSlant.com (Rivals) is saying that they're "still hearing good things" about Daniels and Kansas.  I'm not sure how much you should read into that (not to discredit them) as it seems most schools involved are feeling fairly optimistic.  Either way, most believe that his recruitment is still heading for a resolution in the near future.  He'll visit NC State on December 19th.  - As Drew noted earlier, Kentucky has formally offered Trevor Lacey.  Lacey is a four-star shooting guard in the 2011 class from Alabama and can absolutely shoot the lights out.  He is believed to be UK's biggest remaining target in that class - Daniels included.  It's also believed that Kentucky is the favorite on his list and there is at least a little belief that this recruitment could be closing sometime in the near future. - On the football front, Randall Cobb was named as a First Team All-American by Sports Illustrated.  The junior from Alcoa earned the "all purpose slot" and teammate Danny Trevathan earned honorable mention.  It's believed that both had a healthy helping of Sandy Bell's smashed potatoes, the featured item on today's Nutter Fieldhouse cafeteria menu. - When the Wizards face the Lakers tonight, John Wall will not have the opportunity to beat Kobe Bryant's shot to halfcourt again as the rookie point guard will sit out his eighth game due to injury.  When asked about what advice he had for the injured youngster, Kobe said, "Buy Nikes."  It's assumed the "stay out of Denver" goes without saying.   - In case you missed it earlier, it was a big day on the Kentucky Sports Radio show as Matt spoke about the decision to step away from KSR and dove into a ton of subjects, including a little Enes Kanter update.  The notes on Kanter are in the second hour, but the goodness flows in both segments.
