I just returned from the UK Football Luncheon for Alumni here in Louisville and it actually was a great event. I will have much more on this tonight (including the absurd things) and Rob will focus on the news in his afternoon football post. But here are three tidbits that need to be said:
(1) Michael Hartline is the #2 quarterback.....officially. Although Rich Brooks did say that he didnt expect him to play "unless we get a big lead."
(2) Andre Woodson and Wesley Woodyard have been named Captains of the team.
(3) Marcus McClinton may be the funniest player I have seen not named Dicky Lyons in a long time. He and Keenan Burton were live via satellite and we were treated to Keenan doing the Soulja Boy dance, Marcus singing "We Believe" and a host of comedy facial expressions and goofy movements that seriously had the crowd rolling. He needs his own show.
And oh yeah, we learned that the coaches knew Andre Woodson would be the starting QB last year after he won the team Cornhole tournament......I will never miss one of these lunches again.
