UK Hoops Gets Opponent For Tomorrow, Also Gets Awards

by:Will Lentz03/03/11

Don’t be sad LSU Coach!  There’s still time to learn the dougie before the game tomorrow.

A couple of UK Hoops updates as they begin their run for an SEC title tomorrow, and we will likely spend the entire day posting the video of that one kid from Alabama hating on Tennessee.

-As we mentioned earlier in the week, the Lady Cats secured a 2-seed and a bye for the SEC tournament which started today.  LSU whipped up on Alabama today to the tune of 60-36 to set up a rematch against the Cats tomorrow.  Earlier this season Kentucky beat LSU in memorial on a last second lay up by Brittany Henderson.  The tigers will prove to be a tough match up tomorrow, but I have every bit of faith in Mitchell’s Cats.

-Also, shout out to senior forward Victoria Dunlap, sophomore guard A’dia Mathies and freshman guard Bernisha Pinkett for their post season SEC Awards.  Dunlap was named to the All Defensive team, the first team All SEC as well as elected the defensive player of the year – a first in school history.  Mathies was also named to the All Defensive team, as well as the second team All SEC for the second consecutive year.  Pinkett, the freshmen, was not surprisingly selected to the SEC All Freshmen team.  In case you were wondering, LSU only had two players named.  Seaux Lame.
