UK Hoops Smash UL 101-67, Staying Perfect; Quick Fake Summary
We were so excited about this win that we had to make two posts:
It might be about time that we start showing some more fan support to the women ballers at our University. They've definitely earned it. With their win today in Memorial Coliseum, the women's team kept up with the men by moving to a perfect 10-0 on the season.
Maybe more importantly was the fact that the win came against in-state rival and last year's NCAA tournament runner-up, the Lady Cards of Louisville. A definite statement win for UK Hoops in front of a season high crowd of 7, 323. The Cats led 49-26 at the half and didn't let up a bit after the break, eventually winning 101-67. UK forced the Lady Cards into an embarrassing 38 turnovers on their way to the victory.
Congratulations to Coach Mitchell and his girls on a huge win today!!!

A Quick, Fake Summary: Mmm.. Freshly-Baked Cardinal Turnovers!

Wanted to give a quick, fake hat-tip to Matthew Mitchell's UK Hoops team. They just dominated Louisville by the score of 101-67, under the strength of forcing 38 Cardinal turnovers. The Wildcats scored 39 points off those turnovers and scored 36 points from 52 free throw attempts! Victoria Dunlap led the Wildcats with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 8 steals and 4 blocks; Amber Smith had 19 points and 5 assists.
The Wildcats are now 10-0 and might enter the top-25 of the polls this coming week. On, On, Lady Cats!
