UK in on Another 2011 PG

kabongo Just prior to last night's football game in Starkville, some basketball news broke that is of some consequence. Myck Kabongo, a 2011 PG considered to be one of the three best in the class, decommitted from Texas, choosing to open up his recruitment and look around. The young slasher who is attending Findlay Prep this year has decided to look at three new schools, Duke, UNC and Kentucky, likely the three best places (along with Kansas) for highly touted superstars in collegee basketball. Kabongo insists that Texas is still in the lead, but as we repeat everytime there is a decommitment, kids dont decommit and then go to the old school...it just doesnt happen except once in a blue moon. So speaking of Blue Moons, will the one over Kentucky send Kabongo to play for the Cats? Well if you consider Austin Rivers a PG, and with Marquis Teague coming to Kentucky, it would seem that Carolina would be the most obvious choice for Kabongo. And in fact, many recruiting experts believe the Tar Heels are Kabongo's favorite at this time. But, John Calipari can sell something that no other coach can at this point, the ability to bring in two Point Guards in the same class and send them both to the league in one year. If that can happen with Wall and Bledsoe, why not Teague and Kabongo? Either way, UK will likely pursue Myck hard and if they were to get him, it would be five players in the top 15-20 in the class, and four in the top 10. That is just silly, but it is how John Calipari rolls at this point as silly becomes the norm.
