UK Men's Tennis wins first ever regular season SEC title

by:Ally Tucker04/08/12
The good news continues to roll in for the UK Athletic Department. Just this afternoon the men's tennis team wrapped up at least a share of the SEC regular season title. The title is the first in the program's history. The only other SEC championship to date for men's tennis was a 1992 SEC tournament championship. The UK men's tennis team is 22-4 on the season with a perfect 10-0 mark in SEC play.   A huge congratulations to yet another Kentucky athletic team making huge strides this season. With another Kentucky SEC team pulling its weight, it's certainly not out of the question for Kentucky to make a run at the men's Capital One Cup, which honors the top men's athletic program for the 2011-2012 academic year. Check KSRCollege.com later this evening for a full wrap up on the SEC men's tennis championship from Wilder Treadway.   *In other Kentucky spring sporting news, the Kentucky men's baseball and women's softball teams each scored big SEC series wins this afternoon by beating Ole Miss and South Carolina respectively.
