The reserve UK offensive guard just completed his redshirt freshman season. He's lucky to still be playing football. During his senior year of high school, doctors discovered a bacterial infection in his heart. Horsey underwent open heart surgery to remove the infection. Luckily, he was able to completely recover after spending months on the sideline, returning just in time to join the team as a redshirt for UK's historic ten-win 2018 season. This week Horsey shared his story in front of hundreds to kick off the Central Kentucky Heart Walk campaign. Joined by Vince Marrow, the walk will benefit the American Heart Association. "It's important for people to come out here and donate and show their support," Horsey told WKYT. "These are real people. If I was just walking down the street you would never know that I had heart surgery. You would never know the struggles I've been through. You would never know my stories. So it's important for me to tell you guys that now while we're at events like this, so you can help friends." Click here to register for the Central Kentucky Heart Walk. The fundraiser is May 7 at Keeneland. [WKYT]
