OregonLive is reporting that
talks are nearly complete in scheduling
a game between University of Portland and UK at the Rose Garden in Portland on November 19. Coach Cal wants to play a game on the West Coast before flying to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational.
In another obvious case of "getting it,"
Cal will be bringing local product Terrence Jones back to play in front of the home crowd, which should foster some goodwill with the people of the Pacific Northwest. This also fulfills Cal's quest to schedule teams that are predicted to win 20 games and contend for a conference crown. It's really a win-win-win.
The offficial announcement should come Monday morning.
