UK Watching Tyler Roberson & (Possibly) Karl Towns Today
The recruiting world spins on, and the University of Kentucky staff keeps blazing trails all over the country. Our pal Adam Zagoria tweeted today that Orlando Antigua is at Roselle Catholic in New Jersey to watch 2013 recruit Tyler Robinson. Tyler is currently a 4-star 6-8 PF. Supposedly, Calipari was (and maybe still is?) supposed to come by today or Wednesday, but for now, Tyler is doing drills with a tweaked ankle while UK and KU watch.
Despite Roberson’s ankle injury hindering his showing today, the private jet fuel burned will not be a waste whatsoever. There’s another big time recruit nearby in Jersey…
Zagoria tweeted last night that a slew of coaches were coming out today to see the No.1 player in 2015, Karl Towns. Key phrase: “and more.” News is coming out that UK will be watching Karl Towns in Jersey today, as well. According to a ‘Karl Towns’ twitter search, Coach K has already been spotted on his campus, meaning the others can’t be far behind. With Calipari Fantasy Camp going on, it looks unlikely that Cal will be there unless it is a late evening trip. This kid is pretty great and has the Dominican Republic National Team relationship with Calipari already.
