UK/UGA open game thread

Ah, those Harrick men and their rigourous academic demands Revenge? It was a little under three months ago when the University of Kentucky football team tore down years of anguish, and the goal posts, at Commonwealth Stadium. The victim that day was a reeling Georgia team rich in tradition but poor in experience, and at last, Rich Brooks was able to etch his name into UK football lore…which you know, is really steep. I’m sure to a Georgia fan the sting of losing to UK in football offsets a win over the Cats on the hardwood, but you can bet the UGA faithful (the hotties, et.al) are raring to go tonight in Athens. ...Brylcreem, a little dab'll do ya Head man Dennis Felton, whose moustache looks like it could be wiped away with a napkin, has patiently awaited exoneration from the Jim Herrick era, and finally fields a squad capable of executing his scheme. With wins this season over Gonzaga, Arkansas, and, oh yeah, Vanderbilt, the Dawgs are more than capable of defending their home turf against this UK team and their bipolar high jinks. Sophomore Guard Mike Mercer leads the team with 15 points a pop, with Jr. F Takais Brown right behind at 14ppg. Levi Stukes, who began his Georgia career with Dominique Wilkins, is a consummate floor leader capable of filling it up, and even the Matt Bonner-esque Steve Newman has proven some worth. The Achilles Heel of this team is rebounding, as Brown leads the way with a paltry 5 boards a contest. While I won’t even begin to discuss Kentucky’s fragile defense of their home court, a win on the road in the SEC this year is proving to be a cherished commodity. I don’t care how they do it, how ugly it is, how bad they play, Kentucky has to win. With a daunting February slate looming large, UK can ill-afford more mental malfeasance. I say the Cats shake off a rocky first half, dig deep in the second and win by 10, 72-62. And You?
