UNC and Michigan State want you to pay attention to them

In the world of college basketball, the elite programs seem to be engaging in an arms race to see who can play on the biggest stage and net the biggest "look at me" impact on the rest of the world.  The Cats dabbled in it a bit when they played Michigan State at Ford Field in 2003 in front of what was the largest crowd ever for a basketball game and have their three-year made for TV ESPN series beginning next year.  Now, the bar seems to be raised again as North Carolina and Michigan State have announced that they will play each other on an aircraft carrier in San Diego next season to honor Veteran's Day.  Many believe that the Tar Heels, who played Texas in cavernous Cowboys Stadium this season, are both starving for attention after their ESPN slight and looking for an opportunity to "accidentally toss Larry Drew II overboard.  The game will be the first of its kind and allows Tom Izzo and Roy Williams to join Rick Pitino as the only coaches to lead their team into battle with a smattering of se(a)men on their side.  Obviously, this mean's it's now Kentucky's move in the arms race.  I'm calling for a game on the moon or Eric C. Conn's estate.
