Bam Adebayo has been given the ultimate green light thus far in the Orlando Summer League, leading the Miami Heat in field goals made and field goals attempted. On Saturday, Bam scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds vs. the Charlotte Hornets, and on Sunday, he turned in 14 points and 9 rebounds vs. the Orlando Magic. Heat Summer League coach Chris Quinn said they’re giving Bam total freedom in order to see what kind of player he can become.

“He’s obviously one of the featured guys,” Quinn said in an article on HEAT.com. “[The] shooting is, you can see it, it’ s not broke. [It’s] something that maybe he hasn’t been asked to do in the past. We’re giving him the freedom to get the ball down low and make plays for us. At the end of the day we want him rebounding, we want him defending, those will be the things we want him to focus on the most.”

You can see Bam on NBATV right now as the Heat take on the Indiana Pacers. Here are highlights from Bam’s first game in a Heat uniform on Saturday:

And yesterday vs. the Magic:

Summer League fun rolls on tonight as Alex Poythress, Aaron Harrison, and Isaiah Briscoe take the floor for the Philadelphia 76ers as they play the Boston Celtics. Like all the Summer League games, you can follow along on NBATV, or check this very website for highlights.
