We finally have an injury report on Jarred Vanderbilt after almost two whole months of speculation regarding the extent of his injury. On today's teleconference, John Calipari said Vanderbilt still isn't playing basketball, but Calipari expects his star freshman to be "fine" in the near future. Kentucky's medical staff has examined the left foot injury and they're being cautious; Calipari said Vanderbilt will likely be back to playing ball in about two weeks. Tomorrow will mark exactly two months since Vanderbilt went to the floor late in the Jordan Brand Classic, clutching his left foot in a non-contact injury. It has been one of the biggest topics among UK basketball conversations this summer, in part because fans were never told the severity of the injury. Now we know, thanks to Cal's update today.
