Verdell Jones....PG on the Horizon
With Tyrone Appleton deciding some point in the near future, the focus may soon be shifting to Verdell Jones, the best unsigned point guard in these United States. Coming to us from Champaign, Illinois, Verdell is high on the UK radar and has had an offer from the Cats dating back to this fall. Not an explosive scorer, but a consistent player who can do everything well, Verdell is part of a big recruiting battle that seems almost unbelievable from a UK perspective. Verdell’s top three schools are Kentucky, Tennessee and, yes, Minnesota. Now there is a dynamic threesome. Verdell will be in Knoxville this Sunday for the Vols and the Cats. Think UK might wanna make a good showing?
