You only have one more day to embrace the extremely cold weather.  I know it might be too cold for you to enjoy the snow, but it's not too cold for the cutest pup in the history of the internet. https://twitter.com/MGSniper/status/1090566018064363520

Josh Allen is the Sports Figure of the Year

Kentucky's defensive star picked up another piece of hardware last night.  The prolific pass rusher edged out Benny Snell to win the Herald Leader's Sports Figure of the Year award. Snell appeared on more ballots, but Allen received more first place votes.  Allen is the ninth football player to win the award, but the first defensive player to take the top spot.

UK Coaches Hit the Road

Six days away from National Signing Day, Kentucky will conduct in-home visits with cornerback Jay Ward and wide receiver Devonta Lee.  The Cats could lock up a commitment from Ward, while they give Lee their last pitch before he officially visits LSU.  I'll share what I've heard about each visit later tonight.

Top 25 Showdown at Memorial Coliseum

Just like the men's team, the UK women are ending January with a three-game stretch against ranked opponents.  Tonight it concludes against No. 16 South Carolina, a game that has featured plenty of fireworks over the last five years.  Make your way to Memorial Coliseum to see the Top 25 matchup.  Tip-off is at 6:30 on the SEC Network.

Still Jealous?

Earlier this week Penny Hardaway ruffled some feathers when he said, "I'm getting used to this as a coach because it's a little jealousy from a lot of these coaches around the country."  The Memphis head coach insisted others were jealous of his NBA background, but I'm sure more of it's rooted in his team's success, like last night's 95-79 loss to Tulsa. It could be worse.  He could be coaching Indiana.  The Hoosiers couldn't even beat Rutgers.  The eight-point loss is Indiana's seventh straight L. Woof.

Stop Rocking My Little Heart

36 hours later, I still can't get Jimmy Dykes catchy country tune out of my head.  They say the best way to get rid of an ear worm is to listen to it.  I've tried and failed, but honestly, I'm not that mad about it.

Aaron's Next Big Guest

Before the big game, the Aaron Torres Podcast has a big guest to preview the game, former Pro Bowler Pat McAfee.  Subscribe to get the podcast delivered directly to your phone this afternoon.
