WATCH: Dane Key casually leaps over a defender into the end zone
Dane Key makes the extraordinary look ordinary.
Last season as a sophomore the Frederick Douglass wide receiver made SportsCenter’s Top 10 for an incredible one-handed catch in the end zone. Now a junior, he’s making even more highlights this fall. Last night Key was met by a Grant County defender at the end zone. Instead of going through the player, Key went over the top and casually strolled into the end zone.
WATCH: Oh. My. Goodness. @FDouglassFB's @DaneKey12 hurdles a defender and then casually strolls into the end zone. @FDHSATHLETICS wins big, but Key EASILY with the play of the night and maybe the weekend. @KYHighFootball #SCTop10 pic.twitter.com/yRJuWVFXtn

Douglass defeated Grant County 64-0. Key, the son of former Wildcat Donte Key, wasn’t the only UK legacy making plays in Lexington Thursday night.
Mason Moore, the son of former UK linebacker Marty Moore, caught six passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns to propel Lexington Christian to a 54-14 victory over Dunbar. Before this game Moore only had four career receptions, primarily playing defense for the Eagles.
“We played a bigger team, a 6A school, and I had to step up, help the team out and make some big plays for us,” he told the Herald-Leader.
There were a dozen games played Thursday night across the state. Marion County’s 20-14 victory over Valley was the only game decided by single digits. Tonight should feature a few more fireworks with South Warren taking on Bowling Green in Kroger’s KSR Game of the Week. A few other big games happening around the Bluegrass tonight:
