WATCH: Kenny Brooks, Dazia Lawrence recap Kentucky's 76-42 win over Wofford
Following Kentucky’s 76-42 win over the Wofford Terriers, Kenny Brooks and Dazia Lawrence took the podium to recap the game.
Lawrence led the team in scoring with 19 points on 6-9 (4-6 3PT) shooting. The biggest adjustment for her from last game to now? Just being herself.
“I was just confident in my shot, just staying true to myself, not passing up any open shots at all. So, just being confident in me,” Lawrence said postgame.
Brooks added to wait the redshirt senior said of her performance.
I thought it was what we needed,” Brooks said. “You know, I keep telling her, we brought her here for a reason, and I thought she was a little bit hesitant the first couple games, trying to feel it out. So many of them are just trying to figure out what’s the identity of this group, who’s going to step up, who’s going to knock down shots. Every time I passed her in the hallway, every time I passed her while we were going to the court, I’m like ‘just go be you. Go be you’.”

He added, “We did a little bit today before for the game, tweaked her shot, just a little bit disappointed she didn’t do what I said — I told her to go out there and make nine. She made four. I’ll take it, though. [I liked] seeing the ball go through the hoop for her because she’s worked really hard on her game. It’s something that we definitely need.”
