With sports slowly starting to make their way back, larger groups are able to get together to work on their games. Yesterday’s pro-run in Nashville is just an example of that, as NBA players, former college players, and highly touted high school stars got together for an afternoon of pick up hoop. Part of recurring summer series, these private runs collect a ton of talent on the floor at once, so that players can work on their game and show off their skill.

Kentucky recruiting target, Skyy Clark, was one of the younger players taking part in yesterday’s games, but he certainly didn’t seem out of place among the rest of the talent on the floor. Clark is listed as the top combo guard in the class of 2022 and a top-20 player nationally. Standing at 6’2″ and 185 pounds, Clark is one of the top guards on the recruiting board for John Calipari and staff to start their 2022 class. Kentucky hasn’t offered just yet, with the Brentwood Academy guard only being a sophomore this past season, but the interest is strong and mutual.

In an interview with KSR’s Jack Pilgrim on the Sources Say Podcast in Febraury, Clark mentioned that Kentucky had been one of the schools who had prioritized him already in the early stages of his recruitment and that resonated with him.

It means everything to me. Kentucky has always been one of my top college choices, ever since I started playing basketball. It’s just very humbling. Knowing that I’m on their radar only pushes me to work harder.

He continued by saying that Kentucky is already on the short list for him going forward.

They are definitely, definitely in my top five. As you all know, Coach Calipari is an amazing coach. Everything about Kentucky is on a new level. They try to get you to the league, which is my ultimate goal. They’re going to push you to not only be a player in the league, but one of the top players in the league. That’s something I’m definitely looking for when I go to college.

Jack’s co-host on the Sources Say Podcast, Travis Graf from Cats Illustrated, was in attendance yesterday in Nashville and provided some short highlight clips for your viewing pleasure.

Other players included in yesterday’s run were former Cat Alex Poythress, Houston Rocket Robert Covington, Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers, former Tennessee guard and current Detroit Piston Jordan Bone, Patrick Williams from Florida State, KyKy Tandy from Xavier, former NBA player Ian Clark, former Arkansas Razorback  Jaylon Barford, and 2022 5-star recruit Brandon Miller, among others.
