WATCH: Mark Pope recaps Clemson loss, previews No. 7 Gonzaga
Kentucky men’s basketball is coming off its first loss of the season against Clemson on Tuesday, but a massive opportunity to bounce back is right around the corner. The No. 4 Wildcats head to Seattle this weekend for a Top 10 showdown against No. 7 Gonzaga.
To prepare us for what’s in store against the Zags on Saturday night, head coach Mark Pope spoke with the media on Thursday for his weekly press conference. Pope had plenty of praise for Gonzaga and head coach Mark Few, who he’s played against before, noting that the Bulldogs show a lot of similarities to Clemson. He also gave a (slightly concerning) update on Lamont Butler‘s ankle, talked about the SEC’s dominance in the ACC/SEC Challenge, the amount of confidence he has in his group, and much more.
