WATCH: Minnesota awards walk-on scholarship in coolest way possible
‘Tis the season for heartwarming videos of walk-ons being awarded scholarships, and today’s comes from the University of Minnesota, where back-up kicker Justin Juenemann was given a full-ride in the coolest way possible.
Juenemann spends a lot of time at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital with a patient named Kyle, so Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck brought Kyle in to deliver the news. Instead of just handing him the scholarship papers, Kyle shot a shirt revealing the scholarship at Jueneman, who caught it to his teammates’ delight. Once he finally read the shirt, the chorus of cheers got even louder:
The “Row The Boat” Culture is all about serving & giving!! Congrats to @JustinJuenemann on EARNING his scholarship!! https://t.co/fguiiyt5tY
