WATCH: Southwestern Wins Kroger KSR GOTW over North Laurel 27-13
Southwestern beat North Laurel 27-13 in the Kroger KSR Game of the Week on Friday night in London.
The 5A showdown was heated and highly contested which resulted in four quarters of physical football. The atmosphere was fantastic and the weather was fall-like in southeastern Kentucky. North Laurel fans were vocal and well represented. The visitors also traveled a significant crowd. Southwestern’s victory boosted the Warriors’ record to 6-0 while North Laurel slipped to 4-2 on the season.
The Southwestern head coach spoke to KSR after the game about the environment at the Kroger KSR Game of the Week, “You come over here in this environment against a very good football team. North Laurel has a very good team; Coach (Jason) Chappell has done a great job. In their place, it is tough to get a win, so I’m proud of our guys.”
