Sometimes you read about things that are interesting and sometimes things bum you out a bit. This story is more of the latter.
Wayne Turner, one of the heroes of the 1998 Championship run, has his
Championship ring on sale on EBAY for anyone in the public to buy. Now Turner himself is not selling the ring, because apparently he has already given or sold it to this guy. The guy says that "desperate times" call for him to sell it and now this piece of UK lore is available to the highest bidder. Kind of bums me out a bit....I wonder how the ring got to this guy, why Turner gave it up and now who will end up with it.
Either way though, if that bummed me out, this cheers me up.....
