Today's UK Fans of the Day sent us a photo from Egypt, which happens to be the locale of the hottest topic in UK sports this week because...   1. Team USA is in Egypt. John Calipari's U19 team is in Cairo this week as they get ready to begin the FIBA World Cup this coming Saturday. UK's own P.J. Washington and Hamidou Diallo are among the players on the American squad and they shared a couple of selfies on Instagram to let us know they touched down in Cairo. I think the team is riding camels today, so you'll probably see some photos/video from that. 2. Season ticket holders may purchase single-game UK football tickets beginning right now. At this very moment, the UK ticket office is opening its doors for season ticket holders who are interested in purchasing single-game tickets for the upcoming season. Those tickets went on sale at 9 a.m. today and you can purchase them through your My UK Account here. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning Friday, July 14 at 9 a.m. 3. Florida won the College World Series last night. The Gators took down LSU in the SEC NCAA championship out in Omaha. It is the program's first College World Series title, although they've been in the hunt several times in the past. Kentucky will win it next year. 4. The Cardinals won the South Lexington Baseball championship. Huge upset in the 9-12 year old Lexington baseball scene last night as Braden Peevy and the Cardinals upset the Astros in the championship game. The Astros were the regular season champs and entered the title game with a 22-1 record.

Desmond Hanley, Addison Haney and Nick Blackstone all hit home runs for the Cardinals.

5. Every wonder the whereabouts of Rupp Arena's old goals? I don't. But if you do, the Herald-Leader tracked down the old basketball goals that sold last year after 16 years of use for the Wildcats, and they're across the globe. The two that were used are now in the Phillipines, and the backup goal is in a warehouse in New York. All three were purchased for $6,100. Read more in the H-L's story here. 6. Did you see the new Gatorade commercial? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSLV3AjLiZk TOO SOON. 7. Dog elected mayor of a Kentucky town. The residents of Rabbit Hash, Ky. have spoken and voted a dog into office for a fourth straight term. Brynneth Pawltro, a three-year-old pit bull, got the nod over a cat, a chicken, a donkey and a little boy. More details 8. Update your KSR app for new podcast feed and ad-free version. The latest update for our mobile app is an important one as it includes the new podcast feed and the option to sign up for an uninterrupted, ad-free version of the app. You can find the KSR app in the iTunes store here and you can subscribe to the new podcast feed here. Reminder: Subscribers of the old podcast feed will not find any new shows until they make the switch. 9. I really enjoyed Pardon My Take yesterday. Many of you did not. We got mixed reviews regarding yesterday's Pardon My Take-over on KSR. I thought Big Cat and PFT did a great job, but there are several of you who did not find their schtick to be funny. To those who couldn't take the ribbing, I encourage you to tune back in today because... 10. Evan Daniels has a huge show lined up for you today. Evan has a great lineup of guests today with Tom Crean, Bruce Pearl, Patrick Patterson and Immanuel Quickley all on board for interviews throughout the show. One of the interviews was pre-taped and I think you're going to like some of the things that person has to say. I would tell you more, but that's not how this works. You'll have to tune in.
