Big Blue Madness was filled with countless impressive sights and sounds, but none compare to the "Welcome to the Family" segment put on display on the brand new video boards, with 16 former Wildcats tipping their hat to John Calipari and the Kentucky basketball program. #LaFamilia was put on full display with Aaron Harrison, Ron Mercer, Tyler Ulis, Alex Poythress, Tayshaun Prince, Kyle Wiltjer, Devin Booker, Rajon Rondo, Rex Chapman, Brandon Knight, Chuck Hayes, Michael-Kidd Gilchrist, Eric Bledsoe, Archie Goodwin, John Wall, and Nerlens Noel making appearances in the video. "Embrace the grind" and "Kentucky is not for everyone" was a common theme amongst the former Cats in their welcoming of the current 2016-17 squad into a long-awaited opening to the basketball season. Watch the replay here: https://twitter.com/KSTV_Sports/status/787083774634885120 One after another, 16 straight former players giving their advice to the current (and future) Wildcats during the event. If that wasn't enough, John Calipari welcomed nearly 100 former Wildcats onto the stage, ranging from Hall of Fame coaches and players to current NBA superstars. Nothing like this has ever been done before. (Well, yeah, maybe one other time.) Goosebumps.
