Yesterday kicked off the spring open recruiting period that lasts until the 22nd and Coach Cal took full advantage by traveling to North Carolina to visit
Brandon Ingram. Since then a
ll has been quiet on the John Calipari front. Where is Cal right now? The answer is way up north.
Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal spoke with the Coach of Orangeville Prep, Larry Blunt, where
teammates Thon Maker and Jamal Murray attend school about the possibility of a visit from Cal this weekend. I think there is a strong possibility that visit could be going on right now.
"I can neither confirm nor deny" that Calipari will visit this weekend, Orangeville coach Larry Blunt said with a laugh. "Those guys have tried to put plans together to meet with (Murray's) family and the young man. They've been up a few times and hopefully they'll be up again soon.
Orangeville prep is located on the outskirts of Toronto, where John Wall is taking on Patrick Patterson today in the playoffs. As Kaan mentioned earlier, Coach Cal just so happened to be in attendance for that game.
