Where Kentucky MBB targets stand in Rivals' updated 2024 player rankings
Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari has his eyes on several of the nation’s top high school juniors as the fall recruiting period is full underway. The majority of those players are considered some of the best in the country, according to the folks over at Rivals.
Earlier this week, Rivals updated its 2024 basketball player rankings with plenty of movement going on at the top. Arguably Kentucky’s two most important targets from this class, five-stars Tre Johnson and Ian Jackson, came in ranked No. 1 and No. 3, respectively. It was a two-spot jump for Johnson and a two-spot drop for Jackson.
Of the eight ’24 Kentucky targets who have announced public offers, seven of them are among Rivals’ top 25, with the lone recruit outside that threshold being Lyon County’s Travis Perry, who is considered a four-star in the new update.
