IMG_3935 All off season we heard about new Offensive Coordinators Eddie Gran and Darin Hinshaw's ability to use a tight end like CJ Conrad effectively.  Every BBN fan was pleased to hear that after Conrad was grossely under used in his freshman season. Well in the first game of the season Conrad had one reception for 5 yards, not exactly the type of production that we expected. Conrad is a big body tight end that can create space for himself with his 6'5 245 pound frame. Kentucky is not talented enough to have one of the best pass catchers in the SEC go missing in a game that was considered a must win. Looking ahead to next week against Florida if the cats want to pull off the upset Gran and Hinshaw must get the ball to Conrad more often. The entire offense including QB Drew Barker will benefit from the big tight end getting more involved. Barker lacked a go to pass catcher in the second half and Conrad certainly has the ability to be that guy going forward.
