The best part of talking season?  Preseason magazines.  In an era where online media dominates, these magazines have survived and continue to thrive.  The first up is Athlon.
Boom Williams, First Team All-Purpose Back Jon Toth, Second Team Center
Freddie Maggard wasn't too happy about Toth's prognostication, "Come on Athlon, you can do better than that." Athlon ranks Kentucky 56th out of 128 FBS teams.
Mark Stoops' fourth year in Lexington is a critical one. The Wildcats have posted back-to-back 5-7 campaigns but are still looking for their first bowl trip under Stoops. With a favorable schedule and promising talent on both sides of the ball, Kentucky should be able to hit the six-win mark this fall.
In their complete preview and analysis of the program, they don't predict the number of wins, but they believe a bowl game is attainable, despite the difficult schedule.
The schedule is never easy in the SEC, but home games against South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Mississippi State combined with the returning talent on offense offer hope Stoops can reach his first bowl game this fall.
