We are just two weeks away from the biggest non-sporting event on the sports calendar. For three consecutive days on the final weekend in April, everyone will be focused on the 2023 NFL Draft. Kentucky quarterback Will Levis will be at the center of it all.

The two-year starter at Kentucky has been one of the most polarizing figures of the pre-draft process as evaluators seem to be all over the map on Levis after a disappointing 2022 campaign under offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. However, he’s still one of four quarterback prospects that feel like a lock to go inside the top 10. Steam is building for all four to land inside the top five if the Arizona Cardinals are able to trade back out of the No. 3 overall pick.

During the first round broadcast on ESPN and the NFL Network, the Kentucky quarterback will be a popular man. The NFL has sent out official draft invites and Levis is one the list.

Levis would be the first Kentucky player to attend the draft since Josh Allen was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville. KSR will be making the trip to Kansas City for the event. Will we see Levis there?

Indianapolis Colts are emerging as the favorite to land Will Levis

The Indianapolis Colts own the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The proud AFC South franchise has made the playoffs four times in the last decade and owns nine division titles in the last two decades. However, the Colts are now in rebuild mode with Shane Steichen taking over for Frank Reich.

Indianapolis has a clear need at quarterback. The franchise is on record about not wanting to spend draft capital to trade up. That takes Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud off the table. ESPN’s Matt Miller believes that quarterback for Indianapolis will be Will Levis.

“It seems likely the Colts will leave the first round with their future QB starter even if they stay home at No. 4,” writes Miller. “They need a Day 1 starter from this rookie class, too, and Levis is currently ahead of Anthony Richardson for Indianapolis, according to sources close to the team, because he’s more likely to be able to play right away.”

Could Levis be facing Josh Allen in the AFC South next season?
