Willie Cauley-Stein sprains foot, will miss training camp
Some unfortunate news on one of our favorite former Cats. Willie Cauley-Stein suffered a left mid-foot sprain in a workout last week and will be miss all of training camp. Golden State General Manager Bob Myers shared the news at the start of Warriors Media Day today and said the team will give another update on Willie’s injury at the end of October.
“I know he was ready to go,” Myers said, via Connor Letourneau. “Hopefully he’ll be able to watch and pick up on some things without participating, stay as in shape as he possibly can, but yeah, it’s one of those things you just wish didn’t happen.”
Willie signed a $4.4 million two-year contract with the Warriors in July. If you follow him on social media, you’ve probably seen his offseason workout videos:
