The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation has spoken and it named Kentucky safety Yusuf Corker a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy.

Now in its 18th year, the Lott IMPACT trophy is named for football great Ronnie Lott and is awarded to college football’s most impactful defensive player, both on and off the field. IMPACT is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity.

Kentucky’s Josh Allen won the award in 2018 and Corker hopes to join him as the next Wildcat on the Lott’s recipient list. Corker is one of 20 quarterfinalists for the 2021 award.

Currently in his senior season, Corker is third among Kentucky Wildcats in total tackles with 40, including a pair of tackles for loss and a sack, plus an interception. He ranks third in the entire SEC with seven pass breakups.

Off the field, Corker was named to the Dean’s List and the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2020, and graduated in May 2021 with a degree in economics. According to UK’s press release, he is currently working on a second degree in communication and actively volunteers around the community.

Read more and congratulations to Corker on being a quarterfinalist.
