LSU 2024 quarterback commitment Colin Hurley continued to shine in 7-on-7 play this offseason.

Following a strong showing at Battle New Orleans this month, Hurley traveled to Arizona and competed in Overtime’s OT7 in Phoenix.

The group of teams includes 24K, D1 5 Stars, Defcon Texas, Deuces, EPS Blaze, Florida Fire, Hunco Elite, Lo Pro, Midwest Boom, Pink Outlaws, Raw, SFE, SMSB, Team Elevate, Team Lillard, Trillion Boys, Tucson Turf and 940 Elite.

2024, 2025 and 2026 prospects in attendance totals more than 60 blue-chip recruits. The event also has more than 40 players inside the On300 for 2024.

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons and National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman gave their thoughts on Hurley after Day 1. LSU’s four-star quarterback commitment is a Top Performer after the opening session.

On3 will have full coverage from Day 2 on Sunday.

Hurley shines in 7-on-7, once again

A strong rapport with On300 wide receiver Cam Coleman helped Hurley become the lone quarterback to make On3’s list of Top Performers.

“Four-star Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity QB Colin Hurley was on-point leading the 24K offense,” Spiegelman said. “The LSU commit from Florida had a noticeable chemistry with On3 MVP Coleman after the two lit up the Big Easy last weekend. Hurley was in a rhythm and accurate, and sound throughout the day. He also shined against the blitz with designed throws on the move that turned into splash plays.”

Hurley’s tabbed by the On3 Industry Rankings as a four-star and No. 14 quarterback in the 2024 class. He reclassified from the 2025 class into the current 2024 class when he committed to LSU in November.

Hurley targeting Alabama WR Cam Coleman

Alabama’s Cam Coleman, who plans to make an official visit to LSU, was Hurley’s go-to receiver. Coleman most recently visited LSU when he was in Louisiana for the Battle tournament in New Orleans.

On Day 1 of OT7, Coleman was named On3’s MVP of the session.

“Coleman had been in an absolutely stellar offseason leading into this weekend’s competition,” Spiegelman said. “And the top-20 receiver from Phenix City (Ala.) Central took it to a new level on Saturday. Coleman unofficially led the first day in touchdowns as the 6-foot-3.5, 185-pounder and LSU-committed QB Colin Hurley were synced up from the jump.

“Coleman dominated 50-50 balls and also worked in the middle of the field and showcased his long-striding speed after the catch. His hands, catch radius and ball skills above the rim make Coleman are all on display in Arizona.”

Auburn holds the early lead for Coleman on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
