LSU offensive lineman Anthony Bradford has been selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 108 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Bradford was selected in the fourth round on Saturday. Bradford was the second LSU player taken after BJ Ojulari came off the board as a second-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals.

Bradford left high school as a four-star and the No. 212 overall prospect on the On3 Industry Rankings. He was ranked as the No. 15 interior offensive lineman in the 2019 class and the No. 6 prospect in Michigan.

Bradford leaves LSU on a high note

Bradford was part of LSU’s National Championship team in 2019, and he returned to a second SEC Championship Game this past season.

He’s also one of the more versatile offensive linemen in the draft pool thanks to the shuffling he was able to do on LSU’s line in Baton Rouge. During his 29-game career, Bradford made 17 starts with 10 at right guard, five at left tackle and two at left guard. Bradford started 12 games for the Tigers this past season. While Bradford elected to leave college with eligibility still remaining, he stayed on board and started for LSU in the Citrus Bowl win over Purdue in January.

NFL Combine pushed Bradford up the board

Bradford’s NFL Combine showing was one of the best among the nine LSU players invited.

Bradford had a strong showing during on-field drill work, and an impressive run of testing, all coming after Bradford trimmed down to 332 pounds. He left LSU at 345 pounds, while he checked in north of 355 pounds coming out of high school.

Bradford’s “Relative Athletic Score” of 9.56u ranked No. 58 out of 1,309 offensive guards from 1987 to 2023, per Pro Football Network’s Kent Lee Platte.

Bradford checked in at 6-foot-4, 332 pounds and clocked a 5.08 40-yard dash – the seventh-fastest mark for any of the offensive linemen at the combine. His 1.74 10-yard split in the 40 was the fourth-fastest time for the offensive line group.

Bradford’s other testing numbers were all middle of the pack among offensive linemen, though his 30″ vertical jump was more than LSU wide receivers Kayshon Boutte (29″) and Jaray Jenkins (29 1/2″) recorded the day prior.

What’s next for LSU on the offensive line?

Bradford was the lone offensive lineman from LSU’s roster to declare for the NFL Draft, and the Tigers return the other four starters from the 2022 season.

LSU used a pair of true freshmen at offensive tackle in Will Campbell (left tackle) and Emery Jones (right tackle) this past season, while Bradford started at right guard and Miles Frazier started at left guard. Charles Turner started 12 games at center, and the Tigers return another veteran in Marlon Martinez who got first-team reps at center this spring while Turner was sidelined with an injury.

Garrett Dellinger, who battled through injury to see playing time at both center and guard in 2022, started in six of his nine appearances and could be the name to replace Bradford as the team’s new starter at right guard.
