MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Bowl game thread … Posted by 6882

I really want to win this game. It’s a game. It’s important. Can’t stand the mentality I’ve heard over the years of well it’s ok if we lose to a&m (we won but still) because it’s not in conference or if we just beat miami of ohio by one point (clearly we crushed them but still) it’s a meaningless game that we just have to get out of with the W. This bowl game doesn’t matter, that acc game doesn’t matter anymore because we’re out of the acc title race, etc, etc. Every game matters. Losing sucks to anyone at any time. It’s a big deal.

It’s a MIAMI game on record. It very much counts. The lack of respect around here with multiple people, towards not just the opponents but the game of football in general is astonishing. I wait all year for this **** and if you truly love the game, there’s always an underlying story that hooks you.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“For me definitely a big thing will be getting to know the guys as far as the team, more the coaches and being around people and feeling the welcome. Actually sitting down and going through the defense, picturing making plays, things of that nature, talking ball with all the coaches … just observing and feeling out the vibe.”
