WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have an in-depth breakdown of the transfer portal and how the teams that finished in the top 25 this year have attacked it over the last three seasons. Is Mario Cristobal following the same path as some top programs? Don’t miss that.

Plus with a quiet signing day yesterday, we are taking a look at holes that remain in the Miami roster. And we also took a look back at the signing class that ranked as one of the nation’s best.

There’s also a feature with Canes baseball star Yoyo Morales, a projected first round pick who has his eyes firmly set on helping Miami get back to the College World Series.

And this morning we also wrap up our CaneSport 30 for 30 series. We have been ranking the top 30 Miami Hurricanes with 30 or more reps of experience. And today it concludes with your update and analysis of the top spot, which belongs to All-American safety Kam Kinchens.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Leader on the team? … Posted by 6882

I know it’s a played out question but it remains to be seen. Who’s THAT guy that rally’s up the troops that the players gravitate towards? Before, during and after the games. That voice that reach’s the entire locker room and commands respect? The guy who’s leadership and accountability trickle from the top down to the clean up guys. Sick of this just lead by doing bs. It’s bs. There has to be some one on every team that takes charge.

with out this…

who’s our guy? Do we have one?

btw, I’m not talking about a timid he’s the kinda guy sorta trying effort. I’m talking about an alpha presence that grabs the rains because he cares more than everyone on both sides of the field and COMMANDS his guys to be warriors.

we’ve had guys in the past that were basically rotational starters too so it doesn’t always amount to just, oh you have to have andre Johnson numbers to do this.

who’s our braxton berrios, brandon merryweather, corn elder, etc?

lol, remember the respect your elder montra lol? He earned that. Dude was a maniac.

you don’t have to be a first rounder to earn the respect of your teammates. Passion, Discipline, focus, desire. Who’s our guy?

i said it after middle tenn and I’ll say it again. CULTURE was our biggest issue last year. Make progress in this dept and make progress with play calling and you have you’re 8-9 wins.

i don’t think anyone can argue that this team laid down last year.

so much of our record next year is going to rely on culture forwards, backwards or stall.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Everyone here wants to win and has the same mindset. We’re going into this year ready for any competition that comes at us. Everybody here just has the same goal and it’s to get to Omaha. We’re here every single day and are just trying to bring a championship to Miami.”
