WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

We have an interesting analysis of the cornerback position and how Miami coaches are attacking it through the transfer portal. So be sure to read that.

CaneSport also continues to count down the top 50 post-spring players on the roster, a list that doesn’t include any post-spring roster additions. Today we break down No. 23, Daryl Porter, Jr.

There’s also plenty of recruiting news.

The University of Miami will be hosting Silsbee (Texas) four-star wide receiver Dre’lon Miller, for the first time this weekend for an official visit, and a big reason for that is ‘Canes offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson. He shares his thoughts.

Another official visitor this weekend? That’s IMG Academy 2024 four-star receiver Jerrae “Tank” Hawkins. The Hurricanes are pushing to separate themselves from two other championship-winning programs fighting for the prospect and he breaks things down.

Gray (Ga.) Jones County 2024 three-star quarterback Judd Anderson committed to Miami April 7, and at that time the Hurricanes’ coaching staff gave him a task: to help recruit as many elite 2024 talents to Coral Gables as possible in this year’s cycle. Find out his progress on that front.

Plus Miami is still fighting to climb into the picture for 2024 recruits, including Deerfield Beach (Fla.) four-star linebacker Elias Rudolph. Read about that, too.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Texas A&M is a Must Win for Mario … Posted by MIA6CANE

This is the bottom line.

UM must win 10 wins this year and come in with another top 6 recruiting class.

I’m tired of the expectations being so low for Miami.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“They have Houston’s old offensive coordinator, and he led Tank Dell and helped him put up some amazing numbers. With him going to Miami and trying to get me out there, it’s great to see that and them turning around the program.”
