WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

You don’t want to miss Gary Ferman’s column off his one-on-one interview with Miami Athletic Director Dan Radakovich. Don’t miss what he’s saying about the schedule being a blueprint of what Miami wants and much more.

CaneSport Publisher Gary Ferman also takes on all your questions in his late June mailbag with recruiting going very well (plenty of commitments landing) plus football workouts ongoing.

There was a new commitment yesterday as well – we brought you that plus an analysis, scout’s take and coach’s take of new Miami Hurricanes WR Tyran Evans. Staying with the coach’s take theme, we also catch up with recent commit Justin Edwards’ coach for a closer look at what he brings to the table.

We also continue our State of The U series. We’ve tackled the recruiting classes, which included big transfer numbers, and more. Today we are tackling what Miami fans should expect – realistically – at a DB position that failed far too often last yea. How is the personnel there stacking up? Don’t miss that.

And we continue our annual series breaking down the top 50 players on the current roster. As we go along on this list you’ll get an idea of the overall depth of talent on Mario Cristobal’s team this year as he seeks to build on a season that was oh-so-close to a playoff berth. You can read our inside look today of No. 5, Mark Fletcher.

Plus we have a basketball recruiting update for you as a 7-footer is looking to set up a Miami visit, and he’s the nation’s No. 7 ranked center prospect.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Notre Dame game take … Posted by 10-4

ND will be able to run a bit. Too talented. Their QB will be able to throw a bit, especially with us loading the box. Beck is going to have to be able to connect with our receivers. I think it boils down to if Beck can be the better QB 1st game and if all our 5 star D line can step up. Hopefully. Also, if ND controls the clock we’re screwed.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“We did successfully add incentives to increase the money the top teams in the league were receiving prior to the lawsuits. The idea of sharing a different amount of revenue based on success was done.”
