WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Don’t miss what Mario Cristobal was saying last night on ACC Network – we bring his thoughts to you.

We have an interesting new Message Board Mania topic for you this a.m. as fans share their thoughts on if Miami is relying too heavily on the portal. Where do you stand?

Our game by game previews resume as we take in-depth looks at what Miami will be facing. So you can go ahead and check out what Miami is facing in a huge Game 4 matchup vs. the Florida Gators.

We also are continue our July Player Performance Index series looking at the 30 most impactful players for the coming season. In this series we focus in on how productive we think each Miami player will be this coming season. Today we’re at No. 24 Armondo Blount – he may not be a starter, but that doesn’t mean he can’t still have a big impact.

In recruiting? It starts with a look at what is left on Miami’s board, so don’t miss that.

We also have the very interesting news that Miami (Fla.) Norland 2027 four-star Miami Hurricanes cornerback commit and No. 12 overall player Kenton Dopson is “like 90%” leaning toward reclassifying to the 2026 cycle. He fills us in on that and more.

Plus we catch up with Wadley (Ala.) top-100 EDGE Jaquez Wilkes. He plans to announce a decision “soon” and has Miami still in it.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Thoughts on Bethune-Cookman being on our schedule … Posted by 289FIA

That game is horrible for a). team practice … you need a quality opponent b). Fan attendance … nobody goes and you lose fan MOMENTUM of attending games c). Viewership. Those games don’t get network attention, you lose viewers for a week, and it also hurts recruiting. Total disaster. Schedule a Rutgers or Vanderbilt.
