WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, it’s worth noting that Miami told us last night there will be on media access today, so there won’t be the usual practice field coverage until tomorrow. But there’s still plenty of news.
And that starts with an interesting update on QB commit Emory Williams, who is in this class along with another highly touted QB, Jaden Rashada. A half dozen schools are now pushing to try and sway Williams, so we update his status.
There’s more recruiting news, too, with some insight on where things stand with Jayden Bonsu, who announces Sunday. Most think he picks Ohio State, so are the Canes actually in this? We take a closer look.
Also this morning we have a look at a key piece on the OL, Justice Oluwaseun. So be sure to check that out, too.
From yesterday? There was plenty of news, including our usual video and notes from the practice field (which focused on the key OL position including a depth chart). And afterward DJ Ivey shared some interesting insight, as did newly arrived DL Akheem Mesidor. He’s going to be a key piece on this D.
Plus there was an update on key DL target Jordan Hall, who visited Miami in late July before the dead period hits. He updates where things stand.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY
MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
USA Today Coaches Poll … Posted by OrangeBowl58
Look I despise Clemson, but Clemson probably is the #4 team and odds are we have a rough game against them this year at their house. We can’t pretend that the TERRIBLE season they had wasn’t 10-3
with a one (defensive score) TD loss to the natty champs, a one score game to NC state and their worst game fell to Pitt by 10. They finished winning 6 in a row.
If we went 10-3 this year (winning the final 6) most on here would want us at least top 10 to begin the season.
Anything around #20 for us is a gift with our track record the last 15 years save for 2017. Hopefully Mario and Alex have fixed our lines or we’ll be a 8-9 win team again. If they fixed them, 10-3 or 11-2 would be realistic. Just the truth… now when our 5* OLine is up… different story.
I do think Mario came here to win big and might will us to 10 wins.
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
(Starting) is one of my goals. At the end of the day I want to play, but I have to do what’s best for the team. I’ll put myself in position to get that starting role, but if it’s not, it’s not.
