MSP Recovery / LifeWallet CEO John Ruiz burst into the NIL limelight a year ago when he began doing NIL marketing deals with Miami players and transfers out of the transfer portal.

Now as the 2022 transfer portal cycle begins anew with Monday’s official opening of the portal for business, Ruiz promises to once again become actively involved with both recruits who choose to attend the University of Miami as well players primarily transferring to the University of Miami.

Tonight at 8:30 p.m., he will join CaneSport.com for a special NIL Town Hall to discuss his participation in NIL, his future plans at Miami and beyond and take questions from the fans.

Who is John Ruiz? He can be best described as a Miami Entrepreneur, attorney, and businessman who founded Miami based MSP Recovery, the country’s healthcare reimbursement recovery leader. The data-analytics and technology company recently became publicly-traded (“MSPR”)—the second largest SPAC transaction in the U.S., with a value of $32.6 billion. Ruiz innovated and designed the business and IT platforms at MSP Recovery, which the nation’s largest healthcare organizations rely upon to maximize their recoveries.

Ruiz is nationally recognized as one of America’s pre-eminent trial lawyers for his accomplishments in healthcare law. He was named “2019’s DBR Florida Trailblazer”, for his groundbreaking work in integrating data analytics into the practice of law, and for the positive impact it’s having on healthcare recoveries across the mainland U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Over the course of his distinguished 30 year legal career , Ruiz has also gained national recognition in class action, mass tort litigation, MDL consolidated cases, medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, real estate, and aviation disaster cases.

But nothing he has done has created the public profile of his participation in NIL deals with college athletes in multiple sports. He has put the same energy into NIL that he always has put into his businesses and the major beneficiary of that has been the Miami Athletic Department as Miami players are engaged in almost all of his NIL business.

In tonight’s Town Hall, he discusses all of that and more.
