Michigan football commits are in the middle of this season’s playoffs, and a handful of the Wolverines’ 18 2022 commitments were in action over the weekend.

Here is a quick look at how those future Wolverines performed:

QB Jayden Denegal, Apple Valley (Calif.) High

The Skinny: Apple Valley fell to Gardena (Calif.) Serra in the California state finals. Denegal was out for a sixth straight week with an ankle injury.

DL Mason Graham, Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

The Skinny: Graham recorded several tackles, including one for loss, and a pass deflection in a 27-7 loss to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei in the California state finals.

LB Deuce Spurlock, Madison (Ala.) Academy

The Skinny: Spurlock registered several tackles and scored on a 50-yard touchdown reception in Madison Academy’s 28-24 loss to Oneonta (Ala.) High in the Alabama state semifinals.

LB Aaron Alexander, Belleville (Mich.) High

The Skinny: Alexander recorded a sack, a tackle for loss and a blocked punt en route to leading Belleville to a 55-33 win over Rochester (Mich.) Adams in the Division I state championship.
