Michigan assistant recruiting coordinator Jonathan Herd-Bond no longer with program
Michigan assistant recruiting coordinator Jonathan Herd-Bond announced his departure from the program following National Signing Day.
Herd-Bond posted his farewell message on his personal Instagram account.
“It was a great honor to be a part of Team 143,” he wrote. “Team 144 is going to be something special, but it is time for the next challenge! I appreciate all the people that make Ann Arbor such a special place, and I am grateful to call them friends!”
Herd-Bond’s departure comes less than a year after his hiring in March of last year. During his short stint in Ann Arbor, Herd-Bond worked closely with Michigan Director of Recruiting Operations Albert Karschnia and assisted with day-to-day recruiting activities.
Prior to joining the Michigan staff, Herd-Bond served as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel under Dan Mullen at Florida.
Herd-Bond has not announced his next destination.
Michigan’s recruiting department has experienced plenty of turnover over the last three years, with the lead torch being passed from Matty Dudek to Courtney Morgan to Karschnia. The department needs to expand this offseason, and it starts with upgrading the position vacated by Herd-Bond.
