Michigan flips top OL target Adrian Hamilton away from Virginia Tech
Michigan landed a fourth and final offensive line commitment from Adrian Hamilton Tuesday afternoon. The Washington (D.C.) St. John’s College interior offensive lineman spent this weekend in Ann Arbor for an official visit and flipped from Virginia Tech to the Wolverines during that trip.
The U-M staff extended an offer earlier this fall as it focused in on a couple of true center targets. Hamilton was trending heavily towards Michigan in recent weeks but needed to see the program in person. He saw enough to shut things down after his first ever trip to Ann Arbor for The Game.
Before the visit, he predicted a Wolverine upset over Ohio State. Hamilton consistently spoke extremely highly of Michigan as he decided whether or not to stick with Virginia Tech, a school that just went through a coaching change.
“The offer meant a lot to me,” Hamilton said. “I’ve always been a fan of Michigan, their offensive line play and their run game over the past years. Overall, I was grateful. It’s a big opportunity to play for the Michigan Wolverines. I was excited and happy.”
