Live Michigan recruiting updates: Five-star Savion Hiter signs, Wolverines look to flip SEC commit

Michigan Wolverines football signed 25 of its 28 commitments on the first day of the 2026 early signing period, with three still remaining. The three left are Mineral (Va.) Louisa County five-star running back Savion Hiter, Columbia (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star EDGE Julian Walker and Mansfield (Texas) High four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson.

Hiter is slated to sign with Michigan Thursday morning, while Walker and Robinson are also expected to make final decisions at some point during the day.

Michigan is looking to fend off North Carolina and South Carolina — where his father is a strength coach — for Walker, and Stanford for Robinson.

The Wolverines may also add another wide receiver to the class, with four-star Georgia commit Brady Marchese set to make his final choice at 3 p.m. ET.

Last remaining target for Michigan (intel from EJ Holland)

The last remaining target left in the early signing period is Top 100 WR Calvin Russell. It is still unclear when Russell, who is committed to Syracuse, plans on signing. As of right now, we are not expecting him to land at Michigan.

Four-star WR Brady Marchese flips to Michigan

Michigan pulled off the flip over Georgia! Cartersville (Ga.) High four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese has signed with the Wolverines despite previously being committed to the Bulldogs. Michigan announced him as a member of the class shortly after he made it official at his ceremony this afternoon.

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland dropped an insider piece Wednesday evening, discussing five-star Syracuse commit Calvin Russell, who’s scheduled to sign his scholarship agreement Friday, the unsigned commits and a flip target from the SEC.
