Michigan Wolverines football cleaned up when the Big Ten announced its defensive and special teams awards for the 2021 season, and now the Maize and Blue have two offensive players on the first-team All-Big Ten team, which was unveiled Wednesday. A total of seven Michigan players earned Big Ten honors on offense.

Redshirt sophomore running back Hassan Haskins (media and coaches) and redshirt junior right tackle Andrew Stueber (media) are the Wolverines’ first-team members on offense. Four out of the team’s five offensive lineman appeared on either the first or second team.

Haskins became the first Michigan running back to amass 1,000 rushing yards in a season since 2018, with 1,232 yards (second in Big Ten) and 18 (tied for first) touchdowns on 244 carries. He’s just one rushing score shy of matching the school’s single-season record. The St. Louis, Mo., native has rushed for over 100 yards in six contests this year, and has scored multiple touchdowns in the same amount of contests. He saw 756 of his yards coming after contact.

Stueber has been elite as both a run and pass blocker, with a 72.5 overall Pro Football Focus (PFF) rating. His 79.3 pass-blocking grade tops the team, and he’s yielded no sacks and just nine pressures on the season.

Redshirt sophomore left tackle Ryan Hayes, sixth-year senior center Andrew Vastardis and second-year freshman right guard Zak Zinter were all tabbed as second-team All-Big Ten.

Vastardis leads the team’s offensive line with a 75.0 overall PFF rating, while Hayes has posted a 68.8 mark and Zinter a 66.9.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Cade McNamara (media and coaches) and second-year freshman running back Blake Corum (coaches) were named to the third team.

McNamara is seventh in the league with 2,301 passing yards and has tossed 14 touchdowns. He’s been efficient, connecting on 64.4 percent of his passes with just three interceptions, a Big Ten low. Corum missed parts of three games but still slots eighth in the conference with 865 rushing yards and sixth with 10 rushing touchdowns. He’s also caught 20 passes for 137 yards and a score.
