Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball was released its full 2022-23 schedule after the Big Ten dropped the conference slate on Thursday afternoon. The non-conference portion of the schedule was dropped in August, bringing this year’s draw to a total of 3 games.

The Wolverines will open Big Ten play with a contest at Minnesota on Dec. 8, their only conference opponent prior to January. Michigan has a 5-3 record in conference games played before the new year.

Michigan opens the 2023 calendar year at Crisler Center on Jan. 1 against Maryland, kicking off a 10-game stretch of 5 home and 5 road games. Penn State comes to Ann Arbor on Jan. 4, followed by a trip to East Lansing to take on the rival Michigan State Spartans on Jan. 7.

Michigan then goes to Iowa on Jan. 12 before returning home to play Northwestern on Jan. 15. A rematch with Maryland on the road takes place on Jan. 19, followed by home games against Minnesota (Jan. 22) and Purdue (Jan. 26).

The Wolverines head into February with a road game at Penn State (Jan. 29), at Northwestern (Feb. 2) and three-straight home games against Ohio State (Feb. 5), Nebraska (Feb. 8) and Indiana (Feb. 11). There is no love lost between Michigan and Wisconsin, so it is only appropriate the team teams meet on Feb. 14 in Madison.

Michigan gets its rematch with Michigan State on Feb. 18 at home before traveling to Rutgers on Feb. 23. The final three dates of the year come in a home game with Wisconsin (Feb. 26) and road contests at Illinois (March 2) and Indiana (March 5).

The Big Ten Tournament returns to Chicago this year and kicks off March 8 and runs through March 12.

Here is how the schedule breaks down:

Home/Away: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, Wisconsin

Home Only: Nebraska, Ohio State, Purdue

Away Only: Illinois, Iowa, Rutgers
