Rising Ohio WR Payton Cook talks early offer from Michigan

Longtime relationships with area coaches and figureheads in Northeast Ohio have given Michigan co-defensive coordinator Steve Clinkscale avenues to deliver early offers to recruits in the region. Back in the winter, during the contact period, Clinkscale made his way to juggernaut Akron Archbishop Hoban to put U-M’s name in the mix for rising 2026 wide receiver Payton Cook.
